Are you curious about the possibilities of mobile robots? Do you want to participate in innovation and create physical prototypes in the workshop? Are you good with your hands? Do you have a sense of order? Do you have an open approach to technology and new solutions? Would you like to work in an innovative company with high ceilings and diverse tasks?
We are looking for a workshop experienced industrial technician, smith or similar for our prototype workshop in our Tools & Innovation Department. The work consists of designing and prototyping new modules/tools and small series for our outdoor mobile robot based on drawings. This will include machining, welding to a lesser extent, assembly, and construction in metal, which will also include parts from external suppliers, but also our own 3D-printed and vacuum-formed parts. The tasks are varied, and you are expected to be innovative in your thinking and have a broad technical and workshop understanding and experience.
Furthermore, the job will also include being the workshop manager for the prototype workshop and developing the workshop as needed.
The work further consists of sparring on technical, mechanical, and drafting solutions internally. There will also be external contact and follow-up with external suppliers who need to deliver parts we cannot/do not want to make ourselves.
We expect you to have a relevant basic education and at least 5 years of experience in the metal industry, including machining and welding as well as assembly/machine building. We expect you to want to work with mobile robot development and would like you to have a few years of experience in some of the following:
- Smaller CNC machines.
- Innovation and Design
- 3D Printing
- Vacuum forming
Professionally, in addition to the above, we expect
Basic IT skills and daily PC use, including experience with CAD programs such as Solidworks or similar. We expect you to be good with your hands, self-driven when given a task, and that you want to develop and contribute with new ideas in the field. Furthermore, we expect you to be able to communicate freely in written and spoken English.
About you
As a person, we expect you to be a pleasant, talented personality who can and wants to be part of a work environment with lots of new ideas. You are enterprising, curious, a team player, and self-motivated. You must be passionate about new technology and don't get discouraged if it takes a little work to solve challenges. It's also a big plus if you work with technical solutions in your spare time and have experience in this area. The fact that you might be a bit nerdy is no obstacle.
What we offer
Lots of challenges and opportunities for professional and personal development in a fun, collaborative environment. There will be opportunities for flexible working hours depending on the work tasks.
