Power Solutions * P-t-X Technology

You will join the global leader in wind energy and work in an innovative team which focuses on pioneering solutions to decarbonize energy beyond electricity. We are a new team of highly committed colleagues, who leverage our domain expertise to develop breakthrough power-to-x solutions based on wind energy. The team is highly entrepreneurial and focused on true cross-functional business development, while at the same time using Vestas' experience in product development and global market coverage. Responsibilities

  • As Power-to-X Innovation Engineer your key responsibility will be to develop technical solutions for wind-to-hydrogen solutions while using your solid technical skills and business understanding to work with suppliers, customers and colleagues to make sure our developments generate the biggest value for Vestas and our customers.
  • Given the entrepreneurial nature of the segment, responsibilities can vary from managing projects to defining and assessing the feasibility of future solution concepts together with customers - down to direct specification, assessment, testing and project installation of projects and components (incl. electrolyzers) with Vestas colleagues and potential external partners.
  • In addition, your role will be to build subject matter expertise to collaborate with colleagues in other parts of Vestas as well as technology partners and customers.

We are looking to ramp-up the Power-to-x team with multiple profiles across expertise areas and position levels and encourage you to apply if you can see yourselves fit into Vestas' PtX journey.

Qualifications

To be qualified, you will use your hands-on experience in renewables, energy or hydrogen/gas solutions to deliver product development and project execution together with colleagues in other fields.

We imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • A degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering, physics, or chemistry)
  • Experience with wind/renewable power or other key technologies within hydrogen or power-to-X
  • Experience with modelling of energy processes and plants, e.g., wind turbines/hybrid power plants, electrolyser plants/applications or general process engineering
  • Ideally, hands-on experience with hydrogen or Power-to-X projects – engineering, procurement, construction, control, maintenance, project development or project management

Additional information

Your primary work location will be our office in Vestas in Aarhus, Denmark.

This position requires working out of the office and travel to various locations will be included in this position, approximately 10 days per year.
